Dr. Brent Wainwright completed an internship in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital, an affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine. He subsequently completed a research fellowship in Immunodermatology at New York University Langone Medical Center. As recipient of a prestigious National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health, he worked to develop improved diagnostic methods to monitor malignant melanoma. His research was followed by a residency in dermatology at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine where he served as Chief-Resident. He is a former attending physician at the NYU Langone Medical Center as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU School of Medicine. He is a recipient of the Fred Wise, MD Award by the New York Academy of Medicine, and, a two-time recipient of the teaching attending of the year award recognizing his dedication to junior doctors at NYU. Dr. Wainwright is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and, a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. His original papers have been printed in several scientific journals including Archives of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and the New England Journal of Medicine.
