Plastic Surgery Removal of Moles
- “Moles” are collections of pigment cells (melanocytes) which can present as flat or raised growths on the skin. They can appear skin colored, light or dark brown depending on how deep the pigment cell clusters lie.
- They can be removed for cosmetic reasons using different methods, including a shave excision, punch excision, elliptical excision or scraping. Dr. Boker will recommend the most appropriate method based on the location, size and perceived depth of each mole.
